plain-language policy

Privacy,
without fog.

Noddi is built to perform posture checks privately on your iPhone. We do not operate a user-account system, advertising network, analytics service or posture-data server.

1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how the Noddi iOS application and this website handle information. In this policy, “Noddi,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the Noddi application and Noddi Support.

Questions can be sent to adap08665@gmail.com.

2. The short version

Noddi processes camera frames, face position and AirPods motion on your device. It does not record images or send posture measurements to us. Saved posture entries remain in local storage on your iPhone unless you delete them.
  • No Noddi account is required.
  • No advertising or third-party analytics SDK is included.
  • No posture history is uploaded to a Noddi server.
  • No sensor information is sold or used for tracking.

3. Information processed by the app

TrueDepth and camera information

During a posture check, Noddi uses Apple’s ARKit face-tracking functionality to estimate the distance between your face and the TrueDepth camera. Camera frames, face anchors and face geometry are processed temporarily on the device. Noddi does not save photographs, video, camera frames or face geometry.

If you save the result, Noddi stores only the resulting distance measurement, its general range and the time of the check in the local posture diary.

Compatible AirPods motion

When compatible AirPods are connected and motion access is permitted, Noddi uses Apple’s headphone-motion APIs to estimate head tilt. Raw motion updates are processed temporarily on your device and are not sent to us.

If you save the result, Noddi stores only the resulting average tilt measurement, its general range and the time of the check in the local posture diary.

Posture diary

A diary entry may contain a random identifier, date and time, overall result, face-to-screen distance, head-tilt measurement and the app’s corresponding range labels. These entries are stored locally in the app’s storage on your iPhone.

On-device Apple Intelligence

On supported devices, Noddi may use Apple’s on-device Foundation Models framework to turn the measured values into a short explanation. The prompt and generated result are processed on device. Noddi does not send them to us.

4. Optional reminders and Screen Time

If you enable posture reminders, Noddi asks for notification permission and Apple Screen Time authorization. You choose the apps, categories or websites whose cumulative use should count toward reminders.

Your choices are represented by privacy-preserving Apple tokens and saved locally. Apple’s Device Activity system notifies Noddi’s on-device extension when a configured threshold is reached. Noddi uses those events only to schedule posture reminders, capped at three per day.

Noddi does not receive a browsable history of the websites you visit, the content you view or the exact actions you take inside selected apps.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

Subscriptions are offered through Apple’s App Store and processed by Apple. Noddi receives product information and a verified entitlement status so it can determine whether subscription features should be available. We do not receive your payment-card number or Apple Account password.

Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

6. Information we collect

Noddi currently has no developer-operated backend, user accounts, advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs. Accordingly, we do not collect posture measurements, camera data, AirPods motion, diary entries, Screen Time selections or generated coaching text from the app.

If you email support, we receive the email address, message and any information you voluntarily include. We use it only to answer the request, troubleshoot the issue, protect the service or comply with law. Please do not email photographs, medical records or other sensitive information.

7. This website

This is a static website. We do not intentionally place advertising, analytics pixels or non-essential cookies on it. The hosting provider may process ordinary technical request information—such as IP address, browser information and timestamps—to deliver and secure the website under its own terms and privacy practices.

8. Permissions and your choices

You control whether Noddi can access the camera, headphone motion, notifications and Screen Time functionality. You can change those permissions through iOS Settings. Disabling a permission may make the related feature unavailable.

  • Delete individual posture entries from the Noddi diary.
  • Disable posture reminders inside Noddi.
  • Change camera, Motion & Fitness and notification permissions in iOS Settings.
  • Change Screen Time access in the applicable iOS Screen Time settings.
  • Delete Noddi to remove its locally stored app data from the device, subject to Apple’s device backup behavior.

9. Retention and deletion

Local posture entries remain on your device until you delete the entry or remove the application. Noddi Support does not hold a server copy and therefore cannot remotely retrieve or delete your local posture diary.

Support emails are retained only as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain a record of the support request, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. You may ask us to delete a support conversation by emailing us, subject to records we are required to retain.

10. Sharing and sale

We do not sell personal information. We do not share posture measurements or sensor data with advertisers, data brokers or analytics providers. Information may be disclosed if required by applicable law or necessary to protect rights, safety and security.

11. Children

Noddi is a general wellness tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a Noddi-operated server. A parent or guardian should supervise a minor’s use where required by applicable law.

12. Security

Noddi minimizes risk by keeping posture information on device and avoiding a developer-operated posture database. No method of storage is completely secure, so you should keep your device and Apple Account protected with appropriate security controls.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Noddi changes or legal requirements develop. The latest version will appear on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated in the app when appropriate.
